Conditions Treated & Services

We diagnose and treat a comprehensive range of podiatric issues, focusing on the most prevalent and in-demand conditions:

Heel Pain (Plantar Fasciitis)

Our favorite quote when it comes to this diagnoses is "there are two types of people. Those that have plantar fasciitis and those that do not have plantar fasciitis yet". This condition is extremely common and one that we treat on a regular basis.

We take an initial conservative based approach initially that may include treatments such as stretching, physical therapy, footwear modification, injections, and custom orthotics.

Leg Measurement Assessment
Sports Injuries: Sprains, Fractures, Tendinitis

Ankle injuries are considered the most common sports related injury. Although they are common, that does not mean that they heal quickly. We specialize in accurate diagnosis between fractures, tendon injuries, and sprains in the foot and the ankle. If you are concerned about an injury and would like evidence based treatment and diagnosis, we are more than happy to work with you to get you back on your feet and pain free.

Flat Feet & Pediatric Foot Concerns

Pediatric and juvenile flat feet is a very common concern for parents. We also see adults who have lived with flat feet their entire lives and have started having foot pain.

Flat feet may cause issues most noticeable during athletic activities. There is a whole spectrum when it comes to flat feet and we would work with you to come up with the most effective treatment plan possible.

Bunions & Hammertoes Treatment
Bunions & Hammertoes

We offer a comprehensive treatment plan for both bunions and hammertoes. We treat these conditions with a focus on relieving your pain, improving your foot function, and getting you back into comfortable footwear.

We take an evidence based approach with our treatment plans custom tailored to each individual patient. We offer both conservative and surgical treatment and our goal is to collaborate with each of our patients for the treatment plan that is right for them.

Our surgical options include minimally invasive bunion surgery as well as traditional surgical approaches (lapiplasty, lapidus, joint fusion etc).

Arthritis, Gout, and Joint Pain Treatment
Arthritis, Gout, and Joint Pain

While "arthritis" is a catch-all term for joint inflammation, it shows up in the feet in a few very distinct ways. Understanding what you are dealing with is the first step toward finding the right treatment. We specialize in treating joint inflammation for our patients.

1. Osteoarthritis (The "Wear-and-Tear" Arthritis)

This is the most common form of arthritis. It happens when the smooth, protective cartilage that cushions your joints gradually wears away over time. Without that cushion, bone rubs against bone, leading to a dull, deep ache, stiffness (especially in the morning), and swelling. It frequently affects the big toe, the middle of the foot, and the ankle.

2. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

Unlike wear-and-tear, RA is an autoimmune condition where your body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the lining of your joints. It typically affects both feet at the same time and can cause joint deformities, severe swelling, warmth, and prolonged morning stiffness that takes hours to ease up.

3. Gout (The Sudden, Intense Flare-Up)

Gout is a specific, incredibly painful type of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid crystals in a joint. It is famous for striking out of nowhere—often in the middle of the night.

Ingrown Toenails & Nail Disorders

Ingrown nails are generally due to the inherent shape of your nails! So if you are reading this, you can thank one or both of your parents for this frustrating issue. They are also commonly seen in pregnant women (for the first time for some) due to swelling in the feet that happens throughout that process. We treat ingrowing nails on a daily basis for our patients. Most commonly, removing a small portion of the nail will be recommended.

Nail disorders and infections are also very common. If you have thick and discolored toenails, our clinic will discuss the different treatments available for you.

Neuromas & Nerve Disorders

The most common nerve issue we treat in the foot is called a Morton’s neuroma. Despite the scary-sounding medical name, a neuroma is completely non-cancerous. It is simply a thickening of the tissue surrounding one of the small nerves leading to your toes (most commonly between your third and fourth toes).

When your shoes squeeze your toes together, or when repetitive impact forces the bones to rub against the nerve, the nerve responds by swelling up to protect itself. This swelling is what causes that uncomfortable, "stepping on a pebble" feeling.

Nerve injuries can also occur from trauma related injuries. No matter what caused your nerve injuries, our clinic is here to offer treatments to get you back to being pain free.

Diabetic Examinations & Ulcer Prevention

To understand why diabetic foot care is so vital, it helps to understand how diabetes impacts the body over time. It typically creates two main challenges for your feet:

1. Peripheral Neuropathy (Nerve Damage)

High blood sugar can gradually damage the delicate nerve endings in your feet. This can cause tingling, burning, or a complete loss of sensation. When your feet are numb, you lose your body's natural warning system. You could step on a tack, develop a blister from a tight shoe, or have a small pebble in your footwear and not feel it at all.

2. Poor Circulation (Reduced Blood Flow)

Diabetes can narrow the blood vessels, reducing the flow of blood to your lower extremities. Cigarette smoking significantly amplifies this process. Your blood carries the essential nutrients and oxygen required for healing. With reduced circulation, a minor scrape, blister, or cut that would normally heal in a few days can take weeks or months to mend.

Nurse Helping a Patient
Wound Care

A non-healing wound, open sore, or ulcer on your foot, ankle, or lower leg can be incredibly stressful. You might notice that a simple blister, scratch, or bug bite just isn't healing the way it used to, or you may be dealing with a deep, painful sore that has been there for weeks.

When it comes to the feet and ankles, wounds require specialized, attentive care. Because your feet are farthest from your heart, they naturally receive less blood flow, which can slow down the body's natural healing process. Ideally, it is best to get treatment as soon as possible to prevent infection and delayed healing.

Our goal is early diagnosis, swift relief, and long-term prevention. We use clear communication and thorough diagnostics to tailor your treatment, working closely with you, your family, and primary care providers when necessary. Our Concord practice can also provide preventive screenings and patient education to help you stay active, confident, and pain-free. Unfortunately, we do not offer routine diabetic foot care at this time.
